I qualified as a Sivananda yoga instructor in 2003 in India and have since been training and learning all the time with different teachers from different traditions.
I trained to teach Teenagers with YogaCampus in London in June 2018 and absolutely love my classes with the aduts of the future.
All my regular classes are held over zoom now; the workshops in Crouch End, London N8, my adoptive home for the past 22 years and the holidays usually happen in the south west of France, my home country.
I have created a small and very international community of women who like practising yoga in a relaxed atmosphere, taking it very seriously but without taking themselves seriously. The more you enjoy what you do, the more you will want to do it!
And regularly practising yoga has many benefits, from increased focus to heightened flexibility, to reducing stress and improving health, mental as well as physical.
Classes for Teenagers
The classes are tailor-made and designed especially for the teenagers in that specific class. Yoga helps young people reconnect with their body, get stronger and fitter and it teaches them to breathe, de-stress and relax.
I currently hold one class for teenagers in CrouchEnd, London, N8:
- 5:00 to 6:00pm
Classes for Adults
Yoga with Hélène
Mondays at 9:45am and 6:30pm; Thursdays at 6:30pm
Fridays at 12am
With a maximum of 10 people per class, I make sure my clients get exactly what they need : we have a quick chat at the beginning of the class to make sure everyone is all right and asses what they could need that day. Even over zoom, I constantly check over everyone present so everyone is looked after.
My classes are aimed at women in their forties and over and they are a much-needed break from the stress and speed of day to day life. They are fun, relaxing and very personal, they will leave you feeling energized, yet relaxed, centered and renewed, having had a wonderful time connecting with other women in your community.

These workshops focus on Women's health and well being. We started these series on 10 October by taking about Clearing our mind, Cleaning our heart and cleansing our home with Joséphine Vinet, interior designer. After a fairly strong practice when we go rid of all our mental clutter, Joséphine gave us some tips for the house, to declutter and style it.
21st November will be about Feeding our Soul and Nourishing our body with the help of Dora Petrou, Holistic Nutritionist.
12th December will be about Enjoying Chrismas!! 2 hours to have fun and destress with yoga
Yoga for over 60s
Stay fit and Healthy on Tuesdays at 9:30am
A slow and gentle class perfectly adapted to the needs of people a bit less fast, a bit less able than before. Still a challenging class for those who want. We use props such as belts, blocks and chairs.
Currently over zoom.

Une classe où l'on se retrouve de France, d'Angleterre et d'ailleurs. On papote, un peu!, on échange, on rit avant de faire une séance de Yin yoga ou de Hatha, au gré de nos humeurs, nos besoins et nos envies.
"J'aime tes cours de yoga car j'aime te retrouver et j'aime ton enseignement.
Tu es très attentive à tes élèves, tu nous connais et sais que telle position ne va pas convenir à telle femme car elle a mal à tel endroit et telle autre position ne sera pas bonne pour telle autre femme.
Bref, j'ai l'impression d'avoir un cours particulier... tout en étant entourée d'amies !
J'apprécie que ce soit en petit comité, que nous nous connaissions et c'est donc un plaisir de se retrouver chaque semaine pour 5mn de papotage au début.
Tes cours sont très variés, on sent que tu les as travaillé avant ... Tes cours sont aussi un mélange de physique et de spirituel et tu as trouvé un parfait équilibre entre les 2 à mon sens. " C. Paris
